About TDP Trials
The Talent Development Program (TDP) is Northern Rovers FC's pathway for players looking to progress their game and compete at a higher level. 2027 TDP squads will be selected through a 6-week trial process, giving every player the opportunity to develop and be seen by our coaching team.
Who Can Trial
- Youth Grade 14-17 Mixed
- Girls 14's & 16's
- Open to players from Grade 14 and above
Trial Details
- Dates: w/c 26 October to 6 December
- Frequency: Twice weekly (likely Mondays and Fridays at Becroft Park; venue/times to beconfirmed)
- Format: 4 weeks of skills and drills, 2 weeks of 11v11 game play
- Fee: $49 per player
- Attendance: Minimum 50% session attendance required to qualify for squad selection
- All trialists receive a report card
Note: U17's will remain in tournament mode during part of the trial window; scheduling will be adjusted accordingly.
What Happens Next
Squads will be named on 6 December. Selected players will receive an off-season fitness programme to prepare for pre-season. U15, U17 Mixed, and U16 Girls players will need to pass a fitness test in early February to confirm their squad spot.

Full Year Registration
Separate to trial registration, players named in a squad will need to complete full year club registration ahead of the 2027 season. This covers full year fees (by tier: Youth / Championship / Conference), the registration window, and payment options. Full details will be provided alongside squad announcements on 6 December.
