At Northern Rovers FC, our Junior football philosophy emphasises the importance of nurturing a lifelong love for the game while providing pathways for both social and competitive player development. If you are not sure which pathway to choose come to any of the first 4 sessions to have a go and talk to us about the options.
📆 Monday 10 February & Friday 14 February next week (running through February on Mon & Fri)
📍 Becroft Park
⏰ G9 & 10 (born 2015 & 2016) - 4.15-5.15pm
⏰ G11 & 12 (board 2013 & 2014) - 5.30-6.60pm
We strive to create an inclusive, supportive environment where every player can enjoy the game of football, develop their skills, and reach their full potential—whether playing for fun or aspiring to compete at the highest levels.
Players are asked to select a social or competitive pathway via our registration form (https://www.sporty.co.nz/viewform/337046) process and during February ID sessions teams are formed. Social teams are typically coached by parent volunteers for a mid-week training and Saturday game day. Competitive Teams are coached by one of our qualified coaches or a parent who has played the game or professional sport to a high level.
For Social players who would like to access this level of coaching once a week please select the per term PAC fee in your registration.
Social teams will be compiled with your feedback on friendship groups or from 2024 teams however we will run a muster day on the 17th of March where we would like to have most of the teams formed. Please look out for more details on this muster day closer to the time, but please feel free ot come down and check out the PAC sessions in mid February to understand the concept of the program and to ask as many questions as you like.
