We’re looking forward to welcoming players to the upcoming Youth TDP / Championship ID Sessions. To help the sessions run smoothly and make the best use of the available time, please read the key information below.
Session Format
Sessions will include 9v9 and 11v11 games, depending on age group.
The focus is on game-based assessment, not drills.
Players will be assessed on:
Movement and positioning
Attitude and work rate
Game understanding and decision-making
Technical ability
Overall involvement and impact on the game
Arrival & Sign-In
Please arrive early to allow time for sign-in.
Sign-in will take place at the desk in front of the Becroft Clubrooms.
Upon arrival, players will:
Be assigned a number
Be asked for their preferred playing position
Coaches will use this information to organise teams during the warm-up.
Timing
The sign-in desk will open 45 minutes prior to the session start time.
ID sessions are one hour long, so it’s important we maximise playing time.
The sign-in desk will close 10 minutes prior to the session start time.
Players who arrive late will still be included, however:
They will need to wait until a suitable break before being added to a team.
Additional Notes
Players should arrive ready to play (boots on, shin pads on, water bottle filled).
Parents are welcome to watch from the upstairs clubroom area; however, parents are asked not to stand around the field of play during the session.
Thank you for your support and cooperation. These sessions move quickly, and your help with arrival times and preparation makes a big difference.
Kind regards,Northern Rovers FC
